With the Jordan 5 Fire Red re-released this weekend, it’s only fitting to highlight some of Michael’s greatest achievements in this shoe during the 1989-90 season. One of those historic games came on February 14th 1990. Prior to tip-off vs the Orlando Magic, Jordan’s game jersey was stolen and he was forced to wear #12. Nobody in the arena had a clue who had taken it and this would go down as one of the biggest mysteries of his career.
Jordan also dropped a career high 69 points, later in that season. A formidable performance from the great one, as the Bulls won in overtime vs the Cleveland Cavaliers. He finished the season as the highest scorer in the league for the fourth time in his career.
Who got a pair of the Jordan 5 Fire Red this weekend?
