Despite 2020 being hindered by a global pandemic, Jordan Brand was able to consistently pump out some of the better Jordan sneakers we’ve seen in recent years. From the looks of it, the creatives over at Jordan have no intentions of slowing down. The speculated Jordan lineup for 2021 is loaded with potential new classics, and re-releases of OG Jordan sneakers such as the Neutral grey 1s- sporting it’s OG 85 silhouette, Cool grey 11s, and the return of the highly debated Jordan 1 AJKO in multiple colourways. In terms of new Jordan colourways in 2021, the Jordan 1 “Volt,” and Jordan 13 “Starfish,” were severely underwhelming. However, the Jordan 4 “Taupe Haze,” is here to save the day and really kick off the new year properly.
To some, the Jordan 4 “Taupe Haze,” is just a general release rendition of the coveted Travis Scott’s F&F Jordan 4s that were only gifted to select few- which are rumored to be worth anywhere from $20,000-$40,000. Seeming as most of the general public doesn’t have that sort of money to be spending on sneakers, the “Taupe Haze,” are a much more achievable goal. The sneaker itself is dressed in the ever-so-popular brown earthy tone which has undoubtedly become the colour of the last couple years. Its ability to be matched with various different outfits proves the expected retail price of $265 CAD well worth the investment.
If the “Taupe Haze,” Jordan 4’s didn’t impress you at first glance, it is rumoured that due to imperfections in the paintjob throughout the tongue, forefoot & midsole - along with the easily alterable suede covering the remainder of the sneaker that the true colours of the “Taupe Haze,” may lay underneath the earthy exterior.
Although the first 2 Jordan sneakers to release in 2021 were strikes, Jordan hit this one out of the park with the “Taupe Haze, Jordan 4. Make sure to set your alarms on the 28th of January because you will not want to miss out on these sneakers- or want to pay the expected high resell prices that will hit the market shortly after.
